Why Marke Null?
you know how it goes: you just want to try something quickly, and suddenly it's a career. For me it started with a piano. Wrong industry, I know.
But from the start: it all began in eighth grade, in 2009. I played in an orchestra and at some point wanted something I could do on my own: piano. So I taught myself, no teacher and no plan, just by trying things. Soon I was writing my own pieces on the computer. Only, nobody heard them. Writing was the easy part, finding a place for them was hard.
The internet still felt pretty young back then and it appealed to me, no idea why. So I built a website, with some Apple app that did everything for me. Worked great until I wanted a form. The app said: nope. I said: fine, I'll do it myself. That's the moment a musician turned into someone who reads PHP at night. The form was the first domino.
Then came that question. Shortly before tenth grade I was sitting with a few friends, and someone said, half joking: we could start an agency. Want to join? I said: yes, sure. No business plan. No money. No idea what an agency actually does all day. But a laptop, and the discovery that you can simply start things as long as nobody is standing next to you explaining why you can't.
The agency ran, and I learned in fast-forward what school doesn't teach: listening to clients, surviving deadlines, keeping promises. Right after my Abitur I went my own way. In December 2013 I went independent and parted ways with the agency. Alone, with exactly one selling point: UI/UX design and development under one roof. Don't believe me? Then you probably haven't found all 20 Easter eggs on this site yet. I built those too.
The joke is: that's rare. Usually someone draws pretty designs, throws them over the wall, and on the other side someone builds a distant relative of them. With me, design and development sit in the same head, from the Figma file to the finished shop. Nothing gets lost, and nobody can say it's technically impossible.
It works with big names too. Since then I've worked for, among others, Vodafone GmbH, Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, Volksbank Mittleres Erzgebirge eG, Media-Saturn-Holding GmbH and 99Chemnitz. Same rule as every project: listen first, then design, then build.
And the piano? That's the punchline. A song and a product have more in common than you'd think: both work best when you don't notice the craft behind them. Nobody thinks about the circle of fifths during their favourite song, or about code and A/B testing in a good shop. You just feel that it's right. And you tell people.
Over the years the solo act became a studio for UI/UX design and development. I'm the head and hold it all together. When a project grows, we bring in the right people: trusted partners for what I don't do myself, and for the big marketing chunks my own limited company, since 2021. It joins the table when needed, like any other partner. Marke Null is the door to all of it.
Why Marke Null? Because every project starts at zero. At the beginning there are only two people at the table: you, with an idea, and me. No slides, no fluff. Everything else grows from there, until your product is good enough that people talk about it. And the comma after the name? It's waiting for the next sentence. Yours, preferably.
If you have something in mind that doesn't exist yet: write to me. An idea is enough. I didn't have a business plan back then either.
